Crazy 8's 5K XC Race
The event is a cross country 5K held at Rancho Bernardo Community Park (RB park) in San Diego, CA. The course begins on grass and finishes on an approximate two mile dirt trail loop. A small hill appears about 3/4 mile into the course, and every quarter mile is marked. The course is described as permitting negative splits.
The event is open to all ages and abilities and does not require series membership. Awards include first place male and female in Open and Masters categories, and placements three deep across 14 divisions by sex. Age divisions are in five year groups from 12 and under through 80 plus, with special divisions for ages 13 to 15 and 16 to 18.
Onsite drawings, prizes and food are part of the event. Proceeds benefit the El Camino High School water polo teams in Oceanside.
Online registration closes on Friday, September 18 at 5:00 pm. Onsite registration is available the morning of the event; a $3 late registration fee applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
