Lake Hodges Trail Festival
Lake Hodges Trail Festival takes place at the Piedras Pintadas Trailhead in San Diego over October 17–18, 2026. The event features multiple trail running distances and a trail duathlon across the Lake Hodges area.
The program includes the following races:
- 50K - 31.06 Miles
- 25K - 15.6 Miles
- 15K - 9.3 Miles
- 15K (Youth Under 19) - 9.3 Miles
- Bernardo 10k Challenge - 6.4 Miles
- Bernardo 10k Challenge (Youth Under 19) - 6.4 Miles
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 5K (Youth Under 19) - 3.1 Miles
- Stroller Trail 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run - 1 Mile
- Trail Duathlon - Run 10k, Bike 22k, Run 5k
Course notes and event details: the Bernardo 10k course includes about 1,000 ft of elevation gain and reaches the summit view of Bernardo Mountain Peak. The 5K explores the lake shore. The Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run is a non-timed event for children 10 and younger; all kids receive a finisher's medal. Some races list age minimums, for example the 50K requires ages 18 and up and the 15K lists ages 15 and up.
The festival operates as a cupless race series; participants should bring a hydration vessel since cups will not be provided at aid stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
