The Other Run

The Other Run takes place on 25 April 2027 at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event is held on the same day as the London Marathon and offers several distance options.

  • 5k
  • 10k
  • Half marathon
  • Full marathon

The full marathon uses the Kirtling Route, an officially measured, fully on-road course described as mildly undulating and scenic. The half marathon is a single loop using the Windmill Route. The 5k and 10k use turnaround points on the same road network.

Aid stations providing drinks and nibbles are positioned approximately every 10 km. Parking is included with entry. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, or a lucky dip finisher medal option may be available. The route is on quiet public roads; participants are advised to be aware of traffic and to wear bright clothing for visibility.

The event operates as a cupless event, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. A T-shirt for the event can be purchased separately from the Zig Zag Running shop. Selecting the marathon distance can be used by runners aiming for a marathon GFA place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
