The Other Run : Zig Zag Running

The Other Run is a multi-distance road event held at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. Distances on offer include short turnaround options and longer measured routes. The event uses a mass start and has a seven-hour cut off.

The full marathon follows the Kirtling Route, an officially measured course that is fully on road, mildly undulating and described as scenic. The half marathon is a single loop run on the Windmill Route. Shorter options reach a turnaround point for the 5k and 10k distances. Aid stations offering drinks and light snacks are placed approximately every 10k, and a base camp at the start/lap point will host a water/aid station. Parking is included in the entry price.

The event has adopted a cupless policy; participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, or may opt for a lucky dip finisher medal chosen from a selection of previous medals. Entry is open to adults aged 18 and over, entries close 25/04/2026, and the event limits entries to 300 participants. The marathon distance is noted as an option for runners seeking a marathon GFA place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
