The Next Loop: Endurance Series - Pinnacle Mountain

The Next Loop is a loop based trail endurance event held on a marked 3.1 mile (5K) trail loop at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in Roland, AR on May 9, 2026. The format has runners start a new lap at the top of each hour and complete as many laps as they choose; each finished lap adds to the total distance and result.

The course follows natural trail terrain and is run repeatedly in a centralized loop format. Each completed loop is timed, and final results are ranked by the number of loops completed and combined total time. Loop timing allows runners to review performance on a lap by lap basis.

Distances accumulate by loop and correspond to common race distances:

• 1 loop = 5K
• 2 loops = 10K
• 4 loops = Half Marathon
• 9 loops = Marathon
• 10 loops = 50K

An aid station is available at the central base area before each loop to provide hydration and basic nutrition. The centralized format also makes it practical for friends, family, and crew to support runners between laps. Entry is a flat fee of $100. Registration closes Wed, May 6 @ 11:59 PM CT.
