THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise

THE LAP is a fully way marked 47 mile trail ultra circumnavigating Lake Windermere in an anticlockwise direction, scheduled for Saturday 12th to Sunday 13th September 2026. The event is based at Low Cunsey Farm, Cunsey, Ambleside, Cumbria. This event is full and not accepting new entries.

Participants have up to 24 hours to complete the route. The course is predominantly on tracks, trail and single track, with some steeper fell paths and occasional short sections of quiet country road. The organisers describe the route as a low level Lakes course.

Route marking and navigation support include 2,500 route marking arrows, a GPS tracker, and provision of a map and GPX files. There are five fully stocked feed stations along the route, a halfway aid station with bag drop, a finishers meal for all finishers, and a locally sourced finisher medal.
