The Housedean Half & 10K

The Housedean Half & 10K is a trail running event held at Housedean Farm Campsite, Brighton Road, Lewes BN7 3JW. It is part of The South Coast Series and offers the following distances:

  • Half marathon
  • 10K

The route starts on a working farm and includes a gentle ascent onto the South Downs with views across Lewes, Plumpton, and the surrounding countryside. The course is officially classed as a trail event and combines gravel paths and well kept trails through farmland and footpaths. Organisers describe the route as similar in feel to the Beachy Head Half but slightly less demanding.

Race services and facilities include an accurately measured course with clear signage, chip timing, marshals at gates and key route points, and toilets on site. Water is available at multiple points and aid stations are stocked with gels and fruit. Finishers receive bespoke event medals and trophies are awarded to the first three runners. A complimentary drink or snack is available from the finishers area in the Barn, where a free baggage drop and race HQ are also located.

Additional details: race day photography, food and drink trucks for spectators, on site glamping and camping at Housedean Farm, and a downloadable GPX of the course. A 15% group discount applies to bookings of six or more entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
