The Hoot - Race 2

The Hoot - Race 2 is a trail running event held in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Participants are required to complete the marked 5.5 km course on any day of the weekend of January 16 to 18, 2026. Registration closes on January 13, 2026 and the listed number of registrations is 89.

This race is the second of five in a trail race series. All participants receive a virtual bib and are eligible for draw prizes. Race results earn points toward the final series standings for Top Male, Top Female and Top Non-binary across three age divisions: 39 & Under, Master (40+) and Grand Master (50+). Race 2 awards include Top Male, Top Female and Top Non-binary.

Race times must be submitted using recorded Strava data and sent by email. Submitted elapsed times will be reviewed. If a GPS recording error occurs, participants may repeat the course if time allows or contact the organizer; if approved, completion points worth 15 may be offered. Distances are subject to change.
