The UpRiver Running Fall Races take place in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with Kinsmen Park (Trowbridge) as the race base. Distances offered are:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10K
- Kids Trail Run (about 2.5Km)
Registration closed on September 18, 2025. Race entries are non-refundable; bibs are transferable until the registration deadline. An optional event T-shirt was available to order by September 18. Participants receive a finisher medal and age-division awards for first finishers in the 10K, 25K and 50K (age groups: 39 & under, 40+ Masters, 50+ Grand Masters). The event will provide a free vegetarian chili for registered participants.
Courses and race logistics
Most of the courses run on single-track trails through local areas including the Shuniah Mines trails, Cascades Conservation Area, Centennial Park and Trowbridge Park trails. The 25K course has about 370 m (1,200 ft) of climbing. The 50K consists of two laps of the 25K loop. Aid station locations include Balsam Access Trail Head, Cascades Conservation Area and Kinsmen Park, with five total stations available to 50K runners. The event is cupless; participants should bring a reusable cup, bottle or hydration system. A free shuttle service operates between the race and Current River Community Centre.
