The bike course uses purpose-built mountain bike trails in the Shuniah Mines and Trowbridge Forest. Trails are rated green or blue (easy to moderate) and the event requires mountain bikes only. The run courses mix gravel path, double track and singletrack with rolling hills and some technical features. There are two transition areas: swim start and Transition 1 at Boulevard Lake, Transition 2 and the run starts at Kinsmen Park. The full distance triathlon and duathlon offer qualifying spots for international championships by 5-year age group. The event requires 50-75 volunteers.
