The Heritage Challenge
The Heritage Challenge, presented by Lenawee Endurance Club, is a timed endurance event held at Heritage Park in Adrian, Michigan. The course is a 5K (3.1 mile) loop that returns to a central start and finish area with a fully stocked aid station each lap. Participants choose either a 3 hour or 6 hour format and complete as many loops as possible within their selected time; there is no set distance requirement.
Terrain on the course includes park trails, grass, and paved paths with minimal elevation and continuous movement. The looped layout provides easy access to personal gear and to aid; organizers note that help is never more than 3 miles away. Parking and the start and finish are located in the middle of the softball fields.
Race services listed for the event include a custom race bib, access to aid stations and facilities, finisher recognition for participants who complete at least one loop, and special recognition for top mileage in each division. The event also features a post-race gathering with food and optional Lenawee Endurance Club merchandise. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
