The Hard Yard - Blended Trails

The Hard Yard is a 10 mile trail race scheduled for Saturday 26 September 2026 at Chilton Manor Farm, Alresford SO24 9TX. The route uses private estate trails and starts and finishes along an 800-year-old yew tree-lined avenue, including a one mile tree-lined finishing straight. Recorded Strava distance is 10 miles (16.09 km) and total ascent is approximately 240 m.

The course combines wide gravel tracks, shale paths, compact rural paths and sections of single-track through Furzedown Wood, with views toward Winchester and the South Downs. The route passes Brown Candover, sections of the Oxdrove Way and contours Juniper Hill. The organiser notes the route may change because of landowner access, farming activity or weather.

Event services include two on-course water stations plus water at the start and finish, on-course marshals, medic services, race timing and event photography. A bespoke sustainable finisher medal is presented at the finish. Toilets will be available near the start and finish and an on-site pop-up cafe will serve coffee and food.
