Event Information

The Hard Yard is a 10-mile trail race. It takes place at Chilton Manor Farm, a family-owned estate in the Candover Valley. The event uses private trails accessible only on race day.

Route

The course is well-marked and includes 240 meters of elevation. It starts and finishes on a historic, 800-year-old Yew tree-lined avenue, which provides a straight final mile. The surface consists of gravel tracks, shale paths, field sidings, and compact rural paths. The route passes through areas such as Furzedown Wood and includes a section of the Oxdrove Way. It has received a Silver award from Racecheck.

What's Included

Participants receive a unique finisher medal and event photos. There are two water stations on the course, plus water at the start and finish. On-course support is provided by marshals and medic services. Toilets are available at the venue.

On-Site Facilities

An event pop-up cafe offers coffee and cake. Parking is available for £5 per vehicle. The event encourages car sharing and operates cupless water stations. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottles.

Participation Rules
