The Hamsterwheel is a timed trail event held in New Boston, New Hampshire with multiple time-based race options. The venue is near the Hillsborough County Fairground entrance and the course follows the New Boston Rail Trail along the Piscataquog River, turning at Lang's Station and returning via a gravel service road around the fairgrounds. The loop measures 4.0 miles and is described as largely flat with one minor speedbump. The course will be marked with signs and flags.

Loop tracking is provided at the start/finish by Second Wind Timing using chipped bibs; bibs should be visible on the front of the body. A single central aid station at the start/finish supplies water, NUUN, Tailwind, sodas, fruit, energy gels and assorted food. Lunch and dinner options are offered for 6/12/24/30 hour entrants and breakfast is available to 24 and 30 hour entrants. Runners in the 12, 24 and 30 hour events must supply their own headlamps.
Team entries are permitted with each team member registering separately and providing a team name. Buckles are awarded for completing 100 miles solo or as a team. Pacers are not allowed for the 6 hour event; 12, 24 and 30 hour runners may use one pacer at a time after dark, and pacers and crew must hold a food ticket. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds. Tents, small pop-up canopies and RVs are allowed with quiet hours from 10pm to 7am; camping before the race or after the 30 hour event is not permitted and all runners and crews must exit the grounds on Sunday. The refund policy allows a full refund minus registration fees if cancellation is completed through Ultrasignup at least 60 days before the event; within 60 days the fee is forfeited or may be deferred to the following year.
