Bear Brook Trail Races : Allenstown, NH

The Bear Brook Trail Races take place at Bear Brook State Park, with the event base at 157 Deerfield Road in Allenstown, New Hampshire. The program for 2026 includes two distance options:

  • Half Marathon approximately 13.1 miles.
  • Bear Brook Trail Ultramarathon variable distance likely between 50k and 100k.

The ultramarathon course will change from year to year and the exact route will be released about one month before the race. The event is GPX only with minimal to no course markings; entrants are required to download and use the provided GPX file to navigate the course. There is no cutoff for the half marathon. Ultramarathon cutoff information will be provided when the course is released.

Aid stations do not supply cups. Participants must carry their own bottles or soft flasks to refill at aid stations. Pets are not permitted to run with participants, and crews and pacers are not allowed. Runners who withdraw must check in at the nearest aid station, notify volunteers, and turn in their bib number; failure to do so may result in a ban from future races.

Trail runs nearby

A trail race on Concord's Winant Park Trails with short (about 3.5 miles) and long (about 7 miles) courses. Proceeds benefit the Ralph Waldo Emerson School for Preschoolers in Concord, NH.

A community 5 km run and walk on May 9, 2026 at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH, with a course across campus and nearby cross-country trails. Proceeds support the Pinkerton Fund to benefit students.

A 5 km cross-country event at Canterbury Shaker Village on May 16, 2026 with in-person and virtual options. Online registration closes May 15 at 12:00 noon ET and the registration fee is $25.

A 50-mile point to point ultramarathon from Manchester to Mount Monadnock with about 6000 feet of gain over roads, dirt roads and trails. The course is GPX only with minimal markings, five aid stations, and a 125-runner cap.
