Bear Brook Trail Races

The event takes place at Bear Brook State Park, 157 Deerfield Road, Allenstown, NH. It offers trail distances in multiple formats and uses park trails that include single track, steep uphills, and large blueberry fields.

Distances offered:

  • Half Marathon: as accurate to 13.1 miles as possible.
  • Ultramarathon: variable distance likely between 50k and 100k; exact mileage may change year to year.

Course and navigation are GPX only with minimal to no course markings. Entrants must download and use the provided GPX track to navigate. The ultramarathon course will be released about one month before the event and GPX files will be sent to entrants in advance. There is no cutoff for the half marathon. Ultramarathon cutoff information is provided when the course is released.

Aid stations do not supply disposable cups. Runners must provide their own bottles or soft flasks for refilling. Pets are not allowed to run with participants, and crews or pacers are not permitted.

Dropping out requires checking in at the nearest aid station, notifying volunteers, and turning in the bib number. Failure to follow this procedure can lead to a ban from future races.

Camping is available in the park. Concord and Manchester are the nearest major towns, with Concord about 20 minutes from the start. Registration closes on Sep 9. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
