Bear Brook Trail Races in Allenstown, NH
The event features two trail race distances held in Bear Brook State Park near 157 Deerfield Road, Allenstown, New Hampshire. The organizers renamed the longest distance the Bear Brook Trail Ultramarathon and removed the 10k for 2026. The ultramarathon distance will vary from year to year and is expected to fall between 50k and 100k. The exact ultramarathon course will be released one month before the race date.
This is a GPX only event with minimal to no course markings. Entrants must download and use the provided GPX file to navigate the course. Aid stations do not supply disposable cups; runners must carry their own water bottles or soft flasks for refilling. Pets are not allowed to run with participants and crews and pacers are not permitted.
Cutoff rules differ by distance. There is no cutoff for the half marathon. Ultramarathon cutoff details will be provided when the course is released. Runners who withdraw must report to the nearest aid station, notify volunteers, and turn in their bib number. Failure to do so can result in a ban from future races.
Camping is available inside the park and nearby towns such as Concord and Manchester offer additional lodging about 20 minutes away. Registration closes on September 9. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
