The Great Highnam Court Run - Highnam, Gloucester

The Great Highnam Court Run takes place on the private grounds of Highnam Court and uses Highnam Court Cricket Ground (Church Field) for the start and finish. The venue is in the village of Highnam on the outskirts of Gloucester, about three miles northwest of the city on the A40. The estate entrance is signposted and the course runs through areas not usually open to the public.

The route is a mixed-terrain course through estate grounds, lakes, landscaped gardens and parkland. Runners pass the rose garden and follow hidden woodland paths that feature sculptures and ponds. The surface includes grass, paths and some uneven ground. The 5K consists of one lap and the 10K completes two laps. A water station is provided approximately halfway through each lap. There is also a dog friendly Canicross category for both 5K and 10K.

On arrival, runners register to collect a race number and timing tag. Bag drop is available at the cricket pavilion. Toilets and changing facilities are provided in nearby village halls and event areas are monitored. Food and drink vendors will operate on site. First aiders and marshals are present during the event. All finishers receive a medal, a reusable cup and an official finishing time; trophies are awarded to top finishers and the top team. The event supports Highnam Court Cricket Club and community facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
