The Glasgow Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run

Calton, United Kingdom • 8 Feb 2026

The Glasgow 5k, 10k and Half Marathon Winter Warmer Run

The event takes place on Glasgow Green at Nelson's Column and is organised to support the charity Shelter. It offers three distance options and notes that fundraising for Shelter is optional with no minimum target. Entry prices increase on 2 January 2026.

Distances

  • 5 km one lap of the course
  • 10 km two laps of the course
  • Half marathon four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section

The course is described as flat and mainly on paths with one section on trail. Buggies are permitted and the route is wheelchair friendly aside from the trail section. The start will be staggered to reduce congestion and marshals will be positioned around the course.

Race operations include chip timing with the chip attached to the race bib, instant results shown on site via Results Base, and an email update after the event. Every finisher receives a medal and a small number of trophies are available for winners. Race packs are collected at registration on the day, bag storage is provided but space is limited, and toilets are located within the event hub. Due to park restrictions the event hub is based near the People's Palace on the path from Nelson's Monument. Car parking around Glasgow Green is strictly limited; several nearby train and underground stations serve the area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
