The East Coast "Chuffer"

The East Coast "Chuffer" is an off road running event based at Peasholm Park on Scarborough's North Bay promenade. The route follows the old railway Cinder Track and includes coastal views, woodland stretches, and sections of cinder track and tarmac.

A 6.7 mile loop is used for the half marathon (two laps) and the marathon (four laps). Water stations are provided at approximately every three miles along the course.

Bibs are collected on the day at registration. Parking is available in council car parks around Peasholm Park and along the front at Scarborough; council charges may apply.

Every finisher receives a Grim Bling medal. The event is presented as an off road coastal run that uses the historic Cinder Track and provides route marshals and refreshments according to participant information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
