The Dark Side 8 Hour Ultra takes place on March 7, 2026, in Clarksburg, Maryland. It is an annual timed trail running event that gives participants eight hours to complete as many laps as they choose on a looped course. Registration closes on Sun, Mar 1.

Course and on-course support

The event is based at Little Bennett Park in Montgomery County, with the start/finish area at the Little Bennett Campground Pavilion. The loop distance is 5.5 miles and is primarily on single-track trails. Runners may complete one lap or multiple laps during the eight-hour window.
