The Cyclists vs The Harriers Festive Event

Irvine, United Kingdom • 14 Dec 2025

Event information

The Cyclists vs The Harriers Festive Event takes place on 14 December 2025 and is staged by Irvine Running Club. This is the 65th edition of an event that began in 1959. The course runs over grassland, moorland and pathways with added obstacles in the grounds of Irvine Sports Club and on Irvine Moor. Headphones must not be worn during the race; competitors who ignore this risk disqualification.

Cyclist and runner entries are managed separately. Cyclists must dismount when the course goes over tarmac, cement or other paved ground; failure to do so risks disqualification. Numbers should be worn on the front, and cyclists are asked to make their numbers visible to finish-line officials.

Entry, facilities and logistics

The event is pre-entry only, with entries closing on 12 December 2025 and a stated limit of 120 competitors (this limit may increase). There are no entries on the day. The entry fee is £8.50 plus the event platform service charge (4% per sign-up, minimum 50p). The event is open to competitors aged 15 years and older on the day and is covered by private insurance.

Changing, toilet and shower facilities are available in the Sports Club after the race. Tea, coffee and soup will be provided. Car parking is available at Irvine Sports Club. Race numbers are collected at Marress Sports Club, Waterside Street, Irvine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
