Community, fundraising and registration
The event supports the Cumberland Community Forest. Organizers report handing over a post-race cheque of more than $40,000 in recent years and a decade total exceeding $268,000 raised through registrations and donations. The Cumberland Community Forest Society has completed five major land purchases totaling over 545 acres and marks 25 years of local conservation work.
