The Cove takes place on March 14, 2026 in McLemore Cove at Mountain Cove Farms, 994 Dougherty Gap Rd, Chickamauga, GA. The event offers multiple distances:

Registration closes on March 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Registration by February 27 guarantees a race shirt. The venue is in a valley between Lookout Mountain and Pigeon Mountain, about 45 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, TN and Fort Payne, AL, and about 1 hour from Dalton, GA.

Course and logistics

All courses start in The Cove and climb up Pigeon Mountain. The 30K and 50K routes pass by Rocktown. The 50K route also uses the Estelle Mines Trail, passes Pocket Falls, and reaches the High Point Overlook. Reported elevation gain for each distance is: 10K - 650 ft, 30K - 2,500 ft, 50K - 5,000 ft. The 50K has a 10-hour time limit.

The event takes place on Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA land. Participants must purchase a short-term Combo Hunting/Fishing day-use license for the event date for a cost of $5.
