The Christmas Charity Run at Rathfinny

The event takes place on 28 December 2025 at Rathfinny Wine Estate, The Tasting Room, Alfriston, Polegate, BN26 5TU. The run is limited to 75 places and is open to local runners only. Part of the entry fee supports the WOLO Foundation: £8 of the £12.50 race fee goes directly to this local cancer charity. A prize of a bottle of Rathfinny sparkling wine is offered to the first male and first female finishers.

Course, facilities and logistics

The route runs through the Rathfinny vineyards over hilly trails and cambers. The surface is mainly grass, chalky and flint trail with undulating sections. The route is made up of two 5 km loops. Times are recorded via Webscorer and runners must wear their race number on the front and show their bib when passing the finish funnel on both loops.

This is a cupless event; runners must bring their own water vessels. Only water will be available at the start/finish area. Portable toilets will be available near The Hut. A bag drop is allowed at the start at the runner’s own risk and must be clearly labelled. Car parking is provided near the Cellar Door and Tasting Room for runners; single-use parking carries a £5 donation charge while cars with two or more runners park free under the car-sharing criteria. MedExPlus will provide medical cover, and litter bins will be available at Race HQ. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
