The Christmas Charity Run at Rathfinny

Alfriston, United Kingdom • 28 Dec 2026

Event overview

The Charity Christmas Run at Rathfinny takes place on 28 December at Rathfinny Wine Estate in Alfriston, East Sussex. The route consists of two laps of 5 km each. The event is limited to 75 places and is open to local entrants; participants must be aged 16 or over. Part of the race fee includes an £8 donation to the WOLO Foundation. Prizes include a bottle of Rathfinny Sparkling Wine for the first male and first female.

Course and logistics

The course runs through the vineyards on mainly grass, chalky and flint trails with undulating hilly cambers in places. The event is cupless: cups will not be provided at water stations, so runners should bring their own water vessels. Only water will be available at the start/finish area. Portable toilets will be available near the car park; there are no changing facilities on site.

Car parking is provided near the Cellar Door and Tasting Room. A £5 donation charge applies to single-use parking; parking is free for cars with two or more runners under the car-sharing criteria. A bag drop is allowed at the start at the runner’s own risk; drop bags must be clearly labelled with race number and name. Medical cover will be provided on site. Runners must wear their race number on the front of their shirt. Bins will be provided and litter must not be dropped on course or at Race HQ.
