The Big Run Roanoke takes place on June 3, 2026 in Roanoke, VA at Fallon Park (2116 Dale Avenue SE). The event includes a timed 5K and a free kids fun run. The 5K is an out-and-back course on the Tinker Greenway that starts and finishes at Fallon Park. The event is organized in partnership with Virginia Amateur Sports and Brooks Running and serves as the official 5K for the Virginia Commonwealth Games. The run benefits Smiles4Tab, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2023.

Logistics and race details
Registration has tiered pricing and the 5K field is limited to the first 350 racers. The first 300 registered 5K participants receive a medal; shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by May 24. Awards include top three male and female finishers, top masters, age group recognitions, and a Middle of the Pack Award for the race midpoint finisher. Packet pick-up is available the day before and on race day at Fleet Feet and at Fallon Park. Parking is available in two lots by the Fallon Park Pool and at the Greenway entrance.
