BeastLake 5K and Obstacle Course Race
BeastLake is held on July 4, 2026 at Eastlake Community Church in Moneta, Virginia. The event is the eighth annual edition and raises funds for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 3.1 miles Obstacle Course 5K, competitive single loop cross country course with 16 obstacles
- 3.1 miles 5K run or walk only, no obstacles
- 1.5 miles Obstacle Course, non competitive family event, 10 obstacles, no awards
The 3.1 mile obstacle course is a timed, competitive event with overall and age group awards. The 1.5 mile obstacle course is described as a fun family event; family pricing is available for families of two or more. Registration opens May 1 for the listed events and most online registration closes May 30.
The course includes optional water features such as a slip n slide style water slide, a balance beam over an inflatable pool, and a sprinklers section. Food trucks are scheduled and registered 5K obstacle course and 5K participants receive food vouchers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
