The Big Deal at Great Seal
The event takes place at Great Seal State Park near 4908 Marietta Road, Chillicothe, OH. Multiple race distances are offered on a 20 mile loop course that uses mostly single track trails and includes significant climbing.

The 20 mile loop is roughly 95 percent single track and 5 percent dual track with about 3100 to 3200 feet of elevation gain per loop. The first loop includes the Sugarloaf Mountain climb; subsequent loops bypass that section. Named features on the course include Ireland Shelter, Sugarloaf, Bald Hill, Sand Hill, Rocky Road, Rock Garden, Annie's Trail, The Cellar, Lick Run, Spandex, Bunker Hill, Shawnee Ridge and Grouse Rock. Portions of Shawnee Ridge will have two way traffic and the course will be marked for clarity.
There are five aid station stops on the 20 mile loop located at start/finish, Rocky Road, and two locations at Lick Run. Aid stations will offer water, soda, electrolytes, hot food and snacks. Crew access is allowed at the start/finish (Ireland Shelter) and at Lick Run. Access at Rocky Road or other on course locations is not permitted except for emergencies.
Cutoffs and awards are specified. The 100 mile cutoff is 36 hours total and runners must begin their final lap within 28 hours. Finishers receive distance specific buckles or woodals and podium awards go to the top three male and female finishers per distance. The Golden Goat award is granted to any 100 mile finisher under 26 hours; if no one achieves that time the top 10 percent of finishers will receive the Golden Goat.
Packet pickup for the 100 mile and 100k is mandatory on Friday May 1 from 4pm to 7pm at 50 West Brewing, 1 N Paint Street, Chillicothe OH. Packet pickup for the 20 miler and 5k is available Friday night or on race morning. Registration closes Friday May 1 at 11:59 PM ET.
Mandatory gear for 100 mile and 100k runners must be carried at all times and includes a GPX file on a watch or smartphone, two headlamps or one headlamp with spare batteries, a whistle, an emergency foil blanket, at least 1 liter water carrying capacity and a collapsible cup provided at packet pickup.
