The Baker's Dozen
This event takes place at Woolastook Park on Route 102 in Upper Kingsclear, New Brunswick. Competitors run a 6 km loop on trail, return to the start at the end of each hour, and may repeat that loop up to thirteen times. Completing all thirteen loops equals 78 km.
Each loop must be finished within the hour; a runner who fails to complete a loop in the allotted time or does not start the next loop is removed from the race. The final lap is contested as a finishing lap where the first person to the line wins.
The course includes single-track trail, roots, rocks, and uneven terrain. Runners should take care on technical sections and pass others only when safe. The main hub at the top of the hill provides tables with snacks and coolers stocked with water and electrolyte drinks. This is a cupless event so participants must bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Volunteers will be present at the hub, basic first aid supplies will be available, and emergency services can be contacted if needed. Volunteer massage therapy students will provide on-site massages during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
