The ninth edition of the Mactaquac Trail Race takes place on the park trails over two days. The route includes a mix of single track and double track, several bridges, and two stream crossings. The course is not very hilly but is rarely flat; exposed roots and slippery sections are possible, so runners should watch the trail.
Distances offered
- 5 km new course aimed at beginning trail runners
- 10 km one loop
- 20 km two loops
The new 5 km is scheduled for Saturday and has a lower fee, manual timing, awards for places 1 to 3 for both male and female categories, and limited food options; participants still receive the event swag and postrace water and snacks. There is a free kids run on Saturday with on-site registration.
There is no registration on race day; online registration closes on October 2 and there will not be a waiting list once the event is sold out, though a transfer period will open after sellout. No refunds or deferrals are offered. No dogs or strollers are allowed. A bag drop is available. The event operates nearly cup-less, so there will be no cups at water stations and participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration bladder.
