The Ale Trail is a 15 mile sponsored fun run scheduled for 26 April 2026 in Alfriston, East Sussex. The event is organised by Multisport Management and has a total of 50 places. Route and logistics

The start and finish are at the beer garden of the Ye Olde Smugglers Inne, Market Square, Alfriston. The route file (GPX) and a race narrative are provided for download; participants are advised to follow the GPX or the printed narrative as a backup. Two staffed checkpoints are on the course at The Hampden Arms and The Ram Inn where runners register their arrival and receive a beer token redeemable at the bar; light snacks and water are also available there. The finish includes handing in the race number at the bar to receive a final drink (options listed include a pint, glass of wine or a soft drink).

Organisers provide race numbers, pins and a bottle of water at collection. A time limit of 4.5 hours applies. Results are published within 24 hours. Travel notes mention nearby train stations (Berwick and Seaford), local parking and a pay-and-display car park within a short walk of the venue. A scenic 7.5 km trail loop on the 1066 Country Walk with a pub finish at The Plough. Limited to 50 runners, this friendly, marshalled event includes post race tea and cake.

Run among the vines at Rathfinny on 28 December 2025 with two 5 km loops across rolling South Downs terrain. Just 75 places and most of the entry fee supports the WOLO Foundation for families affected by cancer.
