Course and logistics

The course begins on campus and follows marked trails. Runners follow orange ribbons and paint markers as the route goes around a lower lake on a wide rock and gravel path, then into narrower sandy trails through the Pine Barrens around a second lake, and returns to pavement for the finish. The terrain is generally flat in places but includes large rocks and tree roots in wooded sections. Water stations and volunteers are positioned at course points to help direct participants.
