Dash and Deciduous 5K Trail Run : Crystal Lake Park, Bordentown NJ

The event is a free, timed group 5K trail run organized by Uptown Gentlefriends on June 6, 2026, at Crystal Lake Park in Bordentown, NJ. Entry is limited to 40 runners; additional applicants are placed on a waiting list and added randomly. Registration opens February 2, 2026 and closes June 5, 2026. Donations are optional and are used to support event expenses and participant amenities.

The course features approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, ankle-twisting roots, and several steep, potentially dangerous hills. The route will be well marked with no risk of getting lost, and a water station will be available at the halfway point. Organizers describe the run as a timed "FATASS" 5K, a no-frills group run rather than a full road race.

Awards are given for top male and top female finishers and for age groups in the following categories: 29 and under, 30 to 39, and Masters 40 and over. If participation is high, small hidden items may be placed on the course that can be returned for a prize; if a finder also wins an award, the prize is passed to the next highest finisher.

Parking at the park is limited, so carpooling is encouraged. Spectators can view runners at the start area, near mile 0.5 before entering the woods, near mile 0.8 before a series of steep hills, and around mile 2.1. Refreshments and an award ceremony will be held near the sign-in area after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
