A summer road running event in Pennypack Park, Philadelphia, with the start and finish at the Ed Kelly Amphitheater. The event offers both a half marathon and a full marathon on a paved bike trail that follows Pennypack Creek.

• 26.2 miles (full marathon)

The course runs inside the park along a paved bike path with no traffic. Much of the route is shaded and mostly flat, but the midsection includes several short, steep rolling hills and a trail segment known as Mount Cuckoo. Organizers note the course has varied terrain and can be affected by summer temperatures.

Support includes 13 aid stations on the full course and six on the half, with water and Gatorade available. Energy gels are provided at mile 8 and mile 21 and runners are advised to bring their preferred gels. Timing uses a disposable chip system and mile markers are placed along the course. Medical support includes an EMT ambulance and course support bikers.

Every finisher in both distances receives a finisher medal. Overall winners receive traditional German cuckoo clocks and age group awards are German weather houses. Race packet pickup takes place on race day at the Ed Kelly Amphitheater. Walkers are welcome on the half marathon; the marathon has a 6 hour 30 minute time limit and is recommended only for experienced runners able to handle summer heat.

The entry includes a nonalcoholic beer and a bratwurst sandwich at a Bavarian themed post race party at the amphitheater. A high quality 1/4 zip performance top is guaranteed for preregistered runners.
