The Event

The Tenderfoot Boogie is a trail run held on June 20, 2026. The start and finish take place at Bayly Park in the Cheakamus Crossing area of Whistler, British Columbia. The course runs through the Unceded Traditional Territories of the Lil’wat and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh First Nations.

The Distances

Three distances are offered:

  • 12 km: A shorter course.
  • 26 km: This distance takes runners as far south as Brandywine Falls and features some more technical, rocky trails.
  • 50 km: The longest course includes significant climbing and a range of trail types and technicality.

All distances are run on mostly runnable trails through beautiful west coast forests and around glacier-fed streams and rivers, covering the area from Brandywine Falls in the south to Rainbow Falls in the north.

Registration and Fees

Registration is conducted online with several pricing tiers:

  • Early Bird Rate: Available until January 15, 2026.
  • Regular Rate: From January 16 to March 31, 2026.
  • Late Registration Rate: From April 1 to June 18, 2026. There is no race day registration.

Registration fees, in Canadian dollars, include a race bib, access to fully stocked aid stations, a technical race t-shirt, finish line food, and a finisher's medal. A $5 donation to the Whistler Off-road Cycling Association (WORCA) is included.

Practical Information

The event is a fundraiser for Zero Ceiling, a charity dedicated to youth empowerment through the outdoors, and WORCA, Whistler's mountain bike advocacy group.

Runners must carry their own cup or container as it is a cupless event. A collapsible speed cup is provided at registration. Free 8-week training plans are available through partner coaches.

Important safety rules apply: pacers are not allowed, runners must be bear-aware, and road crossings must only be made at designated pedestrian lights. Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
