Course, aid and race policies

All distances start and finish at Bayly Park and use mostly runnable trails through west coast forests, glacier-fed streams and rivers, covering the area from Brandywine Falls (south) to Rainbow Falls (north). The 12K and 26K use out-and-back sections; the 50K includes an out-and-back first half and a double-lollipop second half. The optional Train Wreck loop is near the start. The course uses many mountain bike trails and includes rocky, steep, loose-gravel and slippery sections; it is explicitly not a road race. No pacers are allowed. Aid stations and facilities include a 12K turnaround water station, Cal-Cheak stations (8.5 km and 19 km), and 50K stations at Function Junction (28 km, with drop bags), Rainbow Falls (38 km) and Stonebridge Drive (41 km). Outhouses are provided at Bayly Park, Cal-Cheak, Whistler Interpretive Forest and Rainbow Falls trailhead. The race is cupless; runners receive a Speedcup and must carry their own drinking vessel.
