Course and terrain

All distances follow a common start route before turning back to reach each distance. Trails include a mix of runnable forest trails, glacier-fed stream and river crossings, technical hiking sections, and flowy mountain bike trails. The 12K and 26K use out-and-back sections; the 50K includes a double-lollipop second half with steeper climbs and more technical terrain. A Train Wreck loop near the start is optional. The 50K crosses Highway 99 at Function Junction using a pedestrian crossing; participants must obey the traffic signal. Runners should expect rocky, steep, loose, and potentially slippery sections. Mountain bikers also use many trails; riders have the right of way.

Logistics and support

Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, snacks, cookies, fruit, and soda. The event is cupless; each participant receives a Speedcup. Drop bags for 50K are available at the Function Junction aid station (around 28 km). Outhouses are located at Bayly Park, Cal-Cheak Forest Rec Site, Whistler Interpretive Forest, and Rainbow Falls trailhead. Pacers are not allowed. The event raises funds for Zero Ceiling and WORCA; a portion of registration fees supports trail maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
