The Tenacious Ten Endurance Challenge takes place on Saturday 9 May 2026 at Mynydd Troed, Pengenfford Common, near Talgarth, Powys (LD3 0EY). The event runs to a strict 10 hour cut off; any lap not completed before the final horn will not be recorded. Entries are accepted for solo runners, pairs and teams of four. Entry fees listed are £55 for solo, £100 for pairs and £150 for a team of four.

Course and format

The race is a marked loop route on Mynydd Troed with technical sections, steep downhills and some runnable stretches. The course description notes a series of false summits before the peak and 360 degree views from the top. Direction format: the first lap is run clockwise, after which participants may choose direction for subsequent laps. Two clip stations are on course (at the trig point and at the mountain base); runners use a laminated card to confirm each completed lap. GPX files are provided for download.

Facilities, safety and kit

Headquarters offers a Refuel Zone, space for drop bags, camping nearby, toilets, refreshments and a full medical team. Parking is available for a fee and may be allocated by ballot. Strict mandatory kit is enforced; required items include waterproof jacket and trousers, race vest, capacity for 2 litres of fluid, emergency food, map or downloaded GPX, charged mobile phone, head torch and spare batteries, first aid kit, foil blanket, hat and gloves, appropriate trail footwear and a reusable cup. Medical staff may stop a runner from continuing; organisers state they accept no responsibility if a participant continues at their own risk.
