Ten Trails Active Club Trot n' Treat Relay Scramble

The Ten Trails Active Club hosts a relay scramble on October 28, 2026, in Ten Trails/Civic Park in Black Diamond, WA. Teams of one, two, or three compete to retrieve six rogue ghosts and return them to their gravestones in Civic Park. The first team to return all six ghosts and hit the finish button is the winner. An extra spooky ghost may appear for a bonus prize. Awards are also listed for Best Team Name and Best Team Costume.

Only the Team Leader needs to register. All teams compete in a single division, and teammates (except solo participants) must alternate ghost hunts so each teammate captures an equal number of ghosts. Teams may capture ghosts in any order and may only carry one ghost at a time. Any route may be taken to collect and return ghosts. The relay distance is shown as approximately 11K on the event listing and map.

Safety notes: there is no marked course and runners choose their own routes, so participants should plan routes carefully and be cautious when crossing streets. The event takes place after dark, so headlamps and flashlights are strongly encouraged. Children may participate with parental permission and younger children should be accompanied by an adult during their legs. Registration is free and closes October 24, 2026, to allow organizers time to prepare materials. Hosts note donations are welcome to help support future events.
