The TedDriven Overland Ultra Relay (TOUR)

The TedDriven Overland Ultra Relay (TOUR) is a three-day stage relay race taking place in North Central Washington. The event follows a low-tech, adventurous format where teams navigate a rugged course using printed maps, elevation guides, and turn-by-turn descriptions rather than GPS or chip timing. The course consists of singletrack trails, logging roads, and scenic pavement.

The event is designed for teams of eight runners. Each day, teams cover approximately 75 miles divided into 16 legs. The stage race format maintains all teams together for the start each morning, with participants regrouping in local mountain towns each evening.

The route is divided into three distinct daily stages:

  • Day 1: Starts in Leavenworth, traversing alpine forests and mountain ridgelines.
  • Day 2: Located in Cashmere, featuring orchards, vineyards, and foothills.
  • Day 3: Runs from Entiat to Lake Chelan, finishing on the shores of the lake.

Each team is responsible for providing its own transportation, hydration, and food. The event includes a medical professional on course and portable toilets at designated areas. Participation is limited to 30 teams for the first year. Registration includes finisher awards, event photos, a captain's dinner, and a post-race celebration. A portion of the proceeds is directed toward cancer research and local trail maintenance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
