Plain Endurance Runs
Leavenworth, United States • 19 Sep 2026
Event
Plain Endurance Runs offers two distances:
- 100 Miler
- 100K (one loop instead of two)
The races take place near Leavenworth, Washington. The 2025 event was cancelled due to Pomas fire closure boundaries affecting much of the course. The site lists a date for September 19, 2026.
Course and logistics
The course uses USFS trails and forest service roads in the Cascade mountains across the Lake Wenatchee, Entiat, and Chelan ranger districts. The route includes about 85 miles of trail and 20 miles of forest service road, with roughly 21,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. The terrain is remote. There is one re-supply point located after the first 100K. Water sources on course are creeks and rivers. Participants must carry all food and required gear from the start or from the resupply point.
Entry and rules
The event is self-supported. The Plain 100 Mile requires prior completion of a trail 100 mile or the Plain 100K; equivalent challenging events may be considered. The Plain 100K has no formal qualification, though a challenging 50 miler is noted as a minimum ability level. The event is run as a non-profit and proceeds are directed to local Search and Rescue and military veteran support groups. Refunds are not issued unless the event is cancelled; in that case some funds are withheld for direct expenses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
