  • 50K
  • 50 Miler

Course and logistics

Both routes start on Chiwawa River Road. The 50K diverts toward Minnow Creek and Minnow Ridge before rejoining the 50M at Chikamin Aid Station. The 50 Miler includes a 7-mile flat road section, a long climb to Basalt Pass, a ridge run toward Garland Ridge, and technical descents before linking with the 50K route. Key terrain features include steep climbs, long technical sections, smooth single track along the Mad River, old burn areas, talus slopes with old-growth larches, and a final single-track section along Chiwawa River Road back to the campground.

Aid stations are placed along both courses; Basalt and Chikamin offer hot food, while Mad Meadows aid is hike-in with limited options. Drop bag and required-gear rules differ by distance and are specified by the organizer. Pacers are not allowed; crew access is limited to designated aid stations.
