The route passes multiple aid stations named in the course text, including Rock Creek, Basalt, Minnow, Chikamin, Mad Meadows, and Entiat, and finishes at Grouse Creek Group Campground after about 4.5 miles of singletrack alongside Chiwawa River Road.

Course notes: 50k runners branch toward the Minnow Creek trailhead (USFS 6210) and climb Minnow Ridge to rejoin the 50-mile course at Chikamin. The 50-mile route begins with a 7-mile flat section on Chiwawa River Road, then climbs to Basalt Pass, follows Garland Ridge with pumus slopes and larch stands, and includes a technical descent before rejoining the 50k route. Both distances climb Chikamin Ridge, pass through an area with old-growth larch, cross an old burn, traverse grassy meadows, and descend Alder Ridge before the final approach to the finish.
