Leavenworth Trail Fest takes place in Leavenworth, Washington, at the Leavenworth Ski Hill Area (10701 Ski Hill Drive, Leavenworth, WA 98826) on May 23, 2026. Registration opens on November 1, 2025. Distances offered include:

  • 55k - Ski Hill 55k (two loops of the Skyline course)
  • 27k - Leavenworth Skyline 27k (Elite, Masters, Sport divisions)
  • 5k - The Town 5k

Courses, divisions and awards

The Leavenworth Skyline 27k covers about 3,800 feet of vert, starts at the ski hill base, ascends via "The Nut" for roughly 2 miles, reaches Tumwater Ridge (paraglider launch area), then descends toward Freund Canyon with views of the Eastern Cascades alpine desert before returning to the festival area. The Ski Hill 55k is two loops of the Skyline course and totals over 7,700 feet of vert.

Divisions for the 27k are Elite (time limit 2:40:00), Sport, and Masters (age 45+). Awards are given by Men, Women and Non-binary categories; top places are awarded within divisions. The event names Vert King, Queen and Monarch for fastest to the high point, with $100 each. Finishers may choose a custom finisher award or have five trees planted in Washington via One Tree Planted. All finishers receive a post-race meal at the Trail Family Food Tent. The Town 5k offers age-category awards and custom wood medals for finishers.
