The Sycamore 8 is an 8-mile trail run hosted by the Capital Striders Running Club. It takes place on the Sycamore Trail along the Des Moines River in Johnston, Iowa, and is scheduled for the first weekend in December.

Race Day Information

The start and finish area is at 4301 NW 66th Ave in Johnston, also known as the Johnston Soccer Fields. Limited parking is available there, with additional parking at the Neal Smith Trailhead across a bridge to the east. Porta-potties are available at the start/finish area. There is one water stop at the midpoint providing water and Gatorade.

Participant Information
