Susitna 100 and Little Su 50K

Alaska Winter Wilderness Races organizes the Susitna 100M and Little Su 50K human-powered winter races held in February. The events use marked trails in remote, frozen areas near Big Lake, Alaska, and take place across terrain with varied winter conditions and views.

Distances include:

  • 100 miles on marked winter trails
  • 50 km on marked winter trails

The organizer provides course maps, race rules, gear information, and race results. There is an organized gear check and meeting, and additional resources cover course descriptions, travel information, standings, and a photo gallery.

The event acknowledges that it takes place on the traditional lands of the Dena’ina and Ahtna Dene people. Portions of the land are owned by the Mental Health Trust Authority and are used under permit; revenue from permits supports AMHTA.

Information on race procedure, mandatory gear, and course specifics is published by the organizer. The races are described as human-powered and run on marked routes through winter conditions in Alaska. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
