Event Overview
The Sundown Trail Races are a series of six events held on the trails of the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Hosted by the Rock Hill Striders, the series takes place on Wednesday evenings during the summer months. Participants can choose to register for individual dates or the complete series.
The races occur at the Lake Haigler Entrance, specifically near the Canteen. The events move forward in various weather conditions, though severe weather may result in adjusted start times or a backup date on the first Wednesday of September.

The courses range in distance from 3 miles to 5 miles. The terrain consists of a mixture of single-track trails and gravel roads. The event is open to all ages and paces, and participants are welcome to either run or hike the routes. Available event options include:
- Full Series (Six races)
- May Edition
- June 3rd Edition
- June 17th Edition
- July 8th Edition

- August Edition
Awards and Series Scoring
The series features a varied rewards system. Half of the races include a raffle where all participants are eligible to win prizes, while the other half offer awards based on finishing positions. For those competing in the full series, a points system tracks performance to determine top male, female, and overall champions. Scoring for the series title is based on an individual's four best finishes. Participants who register for all six races receive commemorative items.
The venue offers proximity to the Gateway Canteen, which remains open after the races for food and beverages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
