Course, logistics and policies

Both courses use mostly single-track dirt trails with a short section of mowed grass and a parade loop in the parking lot. The ~5K follows green and parts of blue mountain bike trails and is mostly flat with small inclines. The ~10K includes dirt single track, some technical sections, and sharp descents and climbs. The course closes at the three hour mark. The event is cup-free; runners should carry a drinking vessel or be prepared to refill at on-course aid stations.

Packet pickup is available at specified locations in the days before the race and on race morning. There is a free kids trail race for ages 10 and under during packet pickup at the park. No strollers or pets are allowed on course. A post-race potluck will include bacon and beer. Trail closure decisions rest with the mountain bike club FORC; an alternate grass and paved route will be used if needed. Rules include no littering, no course cutting, and no bib transfers.
