The Elevation Challenge is a time-based event lasting 14 hours. Final results are determined by the total elevation climbed rather than total mileage. The event is held on a 1.92-mile loop. Each completed loop includes 832 feet of elevation gain and 832 feet of elevation loss, totaling 1,664 feet of elevation change per lap.
