The Snow Mountain Ranch Trail Running Festival takes place at the YMCA of the Rockies in Granby, Colorado. This event features multiple trail races held on courses consisting of 100% dirt and grass trails. The routes offer views of rolling hills and changing colors at high altitudes, with maximum elevations reaching up to 9,844 feet. Participants can choose from several distances:
- 50 km: A three-loop out-and-back course with 4,236 feet of elevation gain.
- 33 km: A two-loop course covering 20.2 miles with 2,443 feet of elevation gain.
- Half-Marathon: A single 12.8-mile loop with 1,707 feet of elevation gain.
- 10 km: A 6.1-mile single loop featuring 653 feet of elevation gain.
- 5 km: A 3.3-mile out-and-back route with 405 feet of elevation gain.
The event includes specific "challenges" for those completing multiple distances in one day. Support is provided through several aid stations located along the paths, and a dedicated area for drop bags is available at the start and finish area. In the 50 km race, participants are permitted to have a pacer for the final loop only.
