Winter Park Trail Runs
Winter Park Trail Runs is a series of mountain trail races in Winter Park, Colorado, offered over multiple distances on high‑alpine trails and town roads. Courses feature singletrack, rugged mountain trail, and dirt roads with long views of the Continental Divide.
Distances
- 50K: ~31.7 miles, ~4,370 ft elevation gain, max elev ~10,800 ft
- 21K: ~13.4 miles, ~2,036 ft elevation gain, max elev ~10,800 ft
- 10K: ~6 miles, ~920 ft elevation gain, max elev ~9,500 ft
The 50K is a point‑to‑point mountain course that begins near Winter Park Resort and finishes at the Rendezvous Event Center at Hideaway Park in town. The 21K shares early miles with the 50K, then follows a looping course that also finishes in town. The 10K starts and finishes at Rendezvous Event Center and is approximately 85% singletrack.
Aid stations provide sports gels, Tailwind electrolyte drink, water, Skittles, PB&J rolls and potato chips; cups are not provided and common NSAIDs will not be available. Radio contact and basic medical supplies are present at aid stations. Well‑behaved dogs on leash are allowed at the start/finish area and aid stations but are not permitted on course.
Event logistics include packet pick‑up at designated locations in town and at the resort, free public transportation to return to resort parking, and men’s and women’s age group awards in standard decade categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
