USCSA Cross Country Ski Racing Festival

The USCSA Cross Country Ski Racing Festival is a two day collegiate and junior cross country ski event held January 24 to 25, 2026 at Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center in Granby, Colorado. The festival brings together college teams and high school athletes to compete on groomed Nordic courses and to score USCSA points for collegiate racers.

Races offered include:

  • 15 km classic race for collegiate and independent high school athletes
  • 7.5 km classic option available for high school athletes instead of 15 km
  • Skate sprint race for collegiate and high school athletes

High school athletes register individually; college teams register through a coach or team captain. Entry fees listed are $25 per race for high school racers and $45 per race for college racers. Both weekend races count as USCSA point races for collegiate competitors. Participating colleges include Colorado College, Colorado Mesa University, Colorado State University, University of Denver, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Wyoming, US Air Force Academy, and Western Colorado University.

Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category for female and male racers. Registered racers are eligible for product giveaways from Swix, Fischer, Atomic and Nordjork. Experience a snowshoe running event at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA in Colorado. Choose from 5k, 25k, or 50k distances on groomed trails and singletrack with a mandatory snowshoe requirement.

Experience the Rocky Mountains at Granby Ranch Resort with distances ranging from 6 miles to a 14 hour elevation challenge. Runners navigate single track trails through aspen groves and alpine meadows with views of the mountain range.

Experience a half marathon in the mountains of Nederland Colorado. This event features a significant elevation gain of 4226 feet with the summit always in view.

Kick off Independence Day with a 5k run/walk in Winter Park, Colorado. The scenic route travels along the Fraser River Trail and finishes at the Rendezvous Event Center for a post-race party.
