Race the Ranch is a snowshoe running event held at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA property in Granby, Colorado. The event takes place on a variety of terrain, including singletrack, doubletrack, and groomed snowshoe trails. Participants are required to have snowshoes on their person at all times during the race, whether they are being worn or carried.

The event features three distinct distances:

  • 5k: A single lap course with approximately 467 feet of elevation gain.
  • 25k: A two-lap course with approximately 1,094 feet of elevation gain.
  • 50k: A four-lap course with approximately 2,188 feet of elevation gain, utilizing less frequent trails such as Pete's Loop.

The event operates as a cup-less race, meaning runners must provide their own reusable bottles or cups. These stations offer water, hydration drinks, and various snacks such as fruit, cookies, and soup.

All participants receive a custom bib and a camp mug. Finishers are provided with custom socks. The event has a total course cut-off of 10 hours, with a specific cut-off of 7.5 hours to begin the final lap of the 50k distance. Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on the morning of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
