Winter Park Trail Runs

The Winter Park Trail Runs offer a high-alpine racing experience in the mountains of Winter Park, Colorado. The event features a variety of terrain, including flowing singletrack, rugged mountain trails, and fast-moving dirt roads. Runners encounter technical sections alongside smoother paths as they navigate through evergreens and aspen groves with views of the Continental Divide.

The event provides three distinct distances:

  • 50 km
  • 21 km
  • 10 km

The 50 km and 21 km courses are point-to-point routes that begin at Winter Park Resort and conclude at the Rendezvous Event Center at Hideaway Park in the center of town. These routes involve steady alpine climbs and descents through high-country terrain. The 10 km course is a loop that starts and finishes at the Rendezvous Event Center, consisting of approximately 85% singletrack with over 920 feet of elevation gain.

Aid stations are positioned along the courses, providing water, electrolyte drinks, gels, and snacks such as fruit and chips. Participants must carry their own hydration vessels as the event is cup-less. The finish area at Hideaway Park features restroom facilities, a skate park, and a picnic pavilion. Age group awards are presented for men and women across various categories starting from under 20 to 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
