Summer Sunset Half

Summer Sunset Half

The Summer Sunset Half is an evening coastal running event along the north coast of Cornwall. It offers two organised races that use the coast path between Perranporth and the Bowgie at Crantock. The event raises funds for Cornwall Air Ambulance and entrants may make donations on entry.

Routes follow the north coast path and include a turnaround checkpoint with fluid and sugary snacks. Head torches are essential and runners are asked to carry a mobile phone and fluid. Toilets at the finish club are limited so participants are advised to use the main beach car park facilities to avoid queues.

Race registration is based at local venues for each race, with the Bowgie Inn at Crantock and Perranporth Surf Lifesaving Club used for race administration. There is a time limit for the half with an earlier cutoff at the turnaround checkpoint. All finishers receive a medal and there are awards for top finishers. Personalised race bibs can be arranged if entry is completed at least one week before the event. Final race information will be provided to entrants one week before the event.
