SUMMER SUNSET HALF & LONG 10

The event takes place on Saturday 11th July 2026 on the north coast of Cornwall. It supports Cornwall Air Ambulance; donations can be made on entry or on the day. The programme includes two distances:

  • Summer Sunset Half
  • Long 10 (new for 2026)

Route, facilities and requirements

The Half is an out-and-back course between Perranporth beach and the Bowgie Inn at Crantock along the coast path. The Long 10 starts from the midway point at the Bowgie and follows the north coast path to Perranporth Surf Lifesaving Club. There will be fluid and sugary snacks at the turnaround checkpoint at the Bowgie; the Bowgie will be open for food and drinks for supporters. Finish facilities are at Perranporth Surf Lifesaving Club, but toilets at the club are limited and the main beach car park toilets are recommended to avoid queues. Head torches are essential. Runners are asked to carry a mobile phone and fluids. The Half has a 4 hour cut off, with a 2 hour limit for the turnaround checkpoint. All runners will receive a medal and there will be awards for top finishers. Race registration takes place at the Bowgie Inn and at Perranporth Surf Lifesaving Club. Personalised bibs require entry at least one week before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
