Summer Solstice Trail Run
The Summer Solstice Trail Run takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Gay City State Park. It is an early morning trail running event that offers three race distances over natural terrain.

The 8 mile race is included in the 2026 Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series and in the USATF CT Mountain, Ultra and Trail series. That distance is also contested as part of a team competition for teams of three, with prize money available.
Registered participants receive a pair of custom designed technical socks and may add a custom designed hat as an option. Organizers offer a free HMF Milestone membership program that provides perks such as a custom birthday gift, access to member-only wait lists for sold out events, and personalized bibs at select events. An optional Milestone+ paid membership adds specialty member apparel, additional loyalty rewards, and one Mail My Packet service at premier events.
