Summer Solstice Trail Run

The Summer Solstice Trail Run is an early morning trail running event held at Gay City State Park, offering three race distances: 3 miles, 5 miles, and 8 miles. The 8-mile race is part of the 2025 Blue-Blazed Trail Running Series and the USATF-CT Mountain, Ultra, and Trail series, featuring team competitions with prize money. Participants receive custom-designed technical socks and can opt for a short sleeve tee. The event supports the Susie Beris, MD Youth Running Program charity. Take on the Fall Fling 400 at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington CT on Nov 22, 2025. Choose a unique 400 minute loop endurance challenge or a 4 mile two lap trail race through wooded single track and rolling hills.

Tackle an accurately measured 8K cross country course through the MDC Reservoir Complex in West Hartford on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Rolling gravel and trail terrain with a touch of pavement make this a scenic challenge for all paces.

Run a scenic 16 miles on the Nipmuck Trail in Union Connecticut, out and back to the Boston Hollow turnaround through Yale Myers Forest. Field is capped at 100 and proceeds benefit local trail groups.

Run a scenic 6.55 mile quarter marathon through West Hartford Reservoir 4 as two loops around the park. Limited to 150 runners, the event features chip timing, post race treats and awards in five year age groups.

Take on the rugged Traprock trail at Penwood State Park with a single 17K loop or three loops for the 50K for a true trail challenge. Expect rocky, technical single track, rolling terrain and great forest views.

Take on Ragged Mountain near Berlin CT in a last person standing race. Run a 3.11 mile loop each hour and keep finishing within the hour until only one runner completes a loop and wins.
