East Granby 1 Miler

The East Granby 1 Miler is a 1 mile run and walk held on July 19, 2026, on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in East Granby, Connecticut. The course is a crushed gravel trail laid out as an out and back with a turnaround at the halfway point. Timing will be done by hand and trail shoes are not required. The event runs rain or shine and no refunds will be issued. Organizers note that facilities on the property are not known, so participants should plan accordingly.

The event is organized in two waves. Registration opens March 30, 2026 and closes July 18, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Space is limited because of parking constraints.

There are two parking lots near the trail head, each with capacity for up to 30 cars. Parking Lot 1 coordinates: 41°58'25.3"N 72°45'32.0"W. Parking Lot 2 coordinates: 41°58'26.8"N 72°45'26.3"W. Organizers request that participants park close together or carpool and avoid lingering after each wave to allow parking for following waves and regular trail users.
